Thanks to all who took time to respond to our questions coming out of the hearing on the "Piracy Deterrence and Education Act of 2003." We will let you know as soon as the webcast is available, and continue to process your input to help formulate a constructive position regarding that and the proposed companion legislation "Author, Consumer, and Computer Owner Protection and Security Act of 2003" and this week's "Protecting Children from Peer-to-Peer Pornography (P4) Act" (see below).

Our primary focus is ongoing discussions with prospective Charter Members and related activities to demonstrate the value of active participation in DCIA's first licensed-content business-practices working group. We are also meeting with leaders of other trade associations, where we can benefit from the broader viewpoints of entire industry sectors.

If time permits, please visit www.dcia.info, which has now been updated to complete our transition from DCSC to DCIA. We will be making improvements to the website weekly going forward, and welcome suggestions you'd like to make to our new webmaster Adam Marcus (adam@dcia.info).

Next week, we plan to present a proposal for a DCIA research initiative in response to recommendations Rick Quinlan (rick@dcia.info) has received, that we believe will be valuable to all.
