Shekhar brings extensive experience as an accomplished executive with a successful track record of launching and managing telecom networks and products to his leadership role in DCIA Member Services.
Shekhar has built and managed networks as large as $100 million and has been very successful in creating new revenue streams for companies he has served. He has also built new companies from the ground up to multi-million dollars in revenue. He holds over 40 patents.
He brings 18 years of experience in various roles from product management to engineering and planning to operations for Fortune 100 and start-up companies both domestically and internationally.
Shekhar currently works for healthcare company Helping Solution in Kansas City, KS where he manages its Social Media and development/deployment of Telehealth, Internet of Things (IoTs), Big Data, and Cloud Products & Services.
Previously, Shekhar worked for ARRIS/Motorola Google where he led new products and hosted and consulting services in CCAP migration, BW Management & Optimization, QoE, and Connected Homes.
Prior to ARRIS, as Senior Director for OPNET Technologies, a network and application monitoring company, Shekhar managed its International Professional Services Group where his accomplishments included acquiring London Police and O2 as major customers in addition to adding AT&T domestically. He also reduced non-revenue generating services to improve company net income.
Before OPNET, Shekhar worked for CenturyLink, 3rd largest local telecom in the US, where led its SDN, VoIP, IPTV, MDU/MTU, and Smart Home products among others.
Shekhar has numerous industry certifications, a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Nebraska, and a Doctor of Ophthalmology degree from India.
